Perfumery Hemisphere, Zagreb, Croatia, 2006
I showered in a custom made bathroom designed for this particular occasion in a shop window at a perfumery in the centre of Zagreb. I have chosen to run the performance using only three ingredients: shower (action), bathroom (space) and myself (subject). This formula excluded all other applicable parts of the scenery and context. I was devoted to the formula and, as intended, my behaviour hasn’t been conditioned by anything else apart from the three ingredients that I had chosen to work with. Given the outcome was a genuine act of ‘showering’ it generated an interesting relationship between what I thought I had delivered and what the audience had perceived.
